What Is a Cyclorama Wall?
If you've ever wondered how studios get that flawless, edge-free background, this is it.
A cyclorama (or "cyc" wall) is a seamless, curved-corner backdrop that eliminates hard lines and shadows, giving photographers and videographers a clean, infinite-looking surface to shoot against. We design and build cyc walls from the ground up: framing, curved corner construction, and a paint-ready finish, tailored to your space and how you shoot.
Most cycs are wall builds, but many include floors, some run to full wall-floor-ceiling envelopes, and occasionally the whole room. We'll spec what your space and shooting style actually need.
From Consultation to Finished Wall
We assess your space, your goals, and your budget, remotely or in person. This is where we talk through how you shoot, what's worked or not worked in past spaces, and what a realistic build looks like for your studio, including how your location factors into scheduling and installation.
1. Consult
We lock in radius, dimensions, and materials suited to how you'll use the space, accounting for ceiling height, lighting rigs, and traffic flow. Every curve begins as a mold, designed in CAD and produced by whichever method suits it best, CNC-cut or 3D-printed. That precision at the mold stage gives every curve the best possible start toward fitting perfectly once installed.
2. Design & Spec
Our crew fabricates off-site, casting each curve to tolerance, then fettling, trimming each piece clean as it comes out of the mold. We install in-situ, working around your schedule to minimize disruption to your operations. Once each curve is set in place, we fettle again to blend the transitions seamlessly before a final trowel coat and fine sand for a flawless surface finish.
3. Build & Install
A final walkthrough and paint-ready handoff, with guidance on care, touch-ups, and getting the most life out of your finish.
4. Walkthrough
Every project's timeline depends on scope, but most builds move from consultation to finished wall within 4–6 weeks — we'll give you a specific estimate after your consult, not a vague range. We'll also walk you through what we need from you along the way: access to the space, any scheduling constraints, and sign-off at key stages.

Boston is home base, but we build coast to coast, in cities like Seattle, San Diego, and Miami, and everywhere between.
Design and fabrication happen the same way regardless of where you're located. For installation, our crew travels to your space and works on-site around your schedule, just as we would locally. You'll have a single point of contact from first consult through final walkthrough, wherever the job is.
